Phoenix Co-op

Welcome to the webpage for the Phoenix Green Living Co-op!  We are excited about starting up a Green Living Co-op in the Phoenix area, and we will be building membership, developing workshop and educational opportunities, and training instructors.

Saturday, December 10, 2011 was our first Phoenix Green Living Co-op Workshop, and what better way to start than with an earthworks project. The workshop was a testament to the saying “many hands make light work,” as we cleared river rock and granite to prep the area. We dug basins, built berms, and placed river rock for spillways and to convey the overflow from one basin to another. We also planted and added organic mulch to the bottom of basins — and all of this was accomplished within just five hours! A big thank you to the project host and all the Co-op members who attended! If this sounds interesting to you, check out the Co-op details and sign-up to be a Co-op member today.

To Join: Membership in the WMG Phoenix Green Living Co-op and participation in workshops is free. Please fill out the online application to join. Once signed up, you will receive bulletins announcing upcoming Co-op volunteer opportunities to earn hours, special events, and other member benefits such as subsidies and discounts.
