Tucson Citizen.com: Green infrastructure presentations for neighborhood groups

Green infrastructure presentations for neighborhood groups by Carolyn Classen on Jul. 21, 2010

“Is your neighborhood interested in:
-calming traffic
-reducing flooding and water pollution
-shading, cooling and beautifying the neighborhood by growing stormwater-fed trees and shrubs?

Watershed Management Group (WMG) and Trees for Tucson (TFT) are offering a series of free presentations to neighborhood groups on community uses of green infrastructure. Green infrastructure refers to constructed features that use living, natural systems to provide environmental services such as cleaning and infiltrating stormwater; shading, cooling and beautifying neighborhood streets; and providing wildlife habitat.
