Water Harvesting Certification
Program Overview
The WMG Water Harvesting Certification program is a hands-on training course that provides certification in water harvesting system design and implementation. WMG's goal is to transfer water harvesting knowledge to those who will utilize these practices in their professions and teach them to others. Our program provides the highest quality and greatest depth of training in integrative water harvesting offered in the nation.
The course teaches design, implementation, and installation of:
- Greywater systems
- Water harvesting earthworks
- Steel cisterns
- Plastic cisterns
Upcoming Course Schedule
WMG is pleased to offer courses in both Arizona and California. All courses listed below are open for application, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the course is full.
The course fee is $1,100 for applicants whose materials are received by the early application deadline for each session, and $1,250 thereafter. This cost includes a gourmet local food lunch provided each day of the training. To apply for one of the following sessions, download the course application here.

Watershed Technical Trainings
Program Overview
WMG's Watershed Technical Trainings (WTT) are designed to build on the knowledge and skills developed in the Water Harvesting Certification course in topics such as green infrastructure, advanced greywater and rainwater tank solutions, eco-sanitation, and watershed restoration. Though demanding and rigorous, the WTT courses are designed to be accesible and to bring together people from a wide variety of professions, such as developers, architects, engineers, educators, students, policy makers and community activists.
WMG's Water Harvesting Certification course is recommended as a pre-requisite for all trainings, however, similar professional experience may also be considered as a pre-requisite.
Cost per training is $450 for early registration, $500 for regular registration. Alumni of the certification or previous trainings are entitled to a further $50 off the registration costs. This cost includes snacks and a gourmet lunch made with locally sourced produce, as well as a Certificate of Completion for full course attendance.
